On the B-team allegation made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, JD(S) supremo H D Kumaraswamy said that the BJP will not make a chief minister from the Lingayat community at any cost.

He made the remarks at Badami, while campaigning for party candidate Hanumanta Mavinamara.

While addressing the people, Kumaraswamy said that he had said this before. "The BJP will not make a Lingayat a CM at any cost. In fact, quiet work is going on behind the scenes to make a Brahmin a chief minister," Kumaraswamy also said.

Instead of speaking on real issues, leaders are speaking about 'snake' and 'vishkanya.'

"Instead of discussing on real issues in the state, the BJP is discussing 'snakes' and 'vishkanya.' There is no need for such politics. Would the lives of people improve with these things? The Prime Minister criticised everything like family, and ATMs and also the double-engine government. But, I would like to ask why the corruption in the state was not stopped. The double-engine government has looted the state, Kumaraswamy said.

He attacked both the BJP and Congress for calling his party a B-team.
