YEIDA to propel UP into a $1-tn economy
One can safely say that the Yogi Adityanath government has been successful in putting Uttar Pradesh back on the development track and the State is on its way to achieve its ambitious target of contributing $1 trillion to the national gross domestic product (GDP), following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Sankalp Se Siddhi" path of holistic development.
Chief Minister Adityanath has stepped on the accelerator of development, seeking partnerships from domestic and global investors by offering them the best business environment, supported by a bureaucratic outreach.

In realising these goals, Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), which functions under the Industrial Development Ministry of the State government and manages the land along the 165-km-long Yamuna Expressway, has come up with the idea of setting up three parks - an Apparel Park, a Toy Park and a Medical Devices Park.
The State government has set out the path to its target; now it has to implement it. The parks have started taking shape and as construction has commenced, YEIDA will very soon allot lands to investors.
YEIDA Chief Executive Arun Vir Singh, who is also the CEO of Noida International Airport Ltd (NIAL), said, "Several industrial projects are being developed along the Yamuna Expressway in a push for the economy. Three parks - Medical Device Park, Apparel Park and Toy Park - are ready for launch."
Along with this, some 16 companies, mostly electronics manufacturing plants associated with a UK-based company, will set up their industrial units. They have already been allotted around 130 acre of land in Sector 7 alongside the expressway.
Moreover, YEIDA has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) worth Rs 4,000 crore with UK-based Indian Partnership Forum (IPF) in this regard, during the UP Global Investors' Summit held last month.
The State government is also planning for the development of a Multi-Modal Logistics Hub (MMLH) and a Multi-Modal Transport Hub (MMTH) in the region. Apart from all these projects, other prominent mega projects on the cards are Film City and Raya Heritage City.
YEIDA has also facilitated the development of commercial and residential real estate projects in the region, which have created job opportunities in the construction and related industries. Once the projects are operationalised, they are expected to create huge job opportunities for the locals in the coming years.
