What Yash, Rishab Shetty, Kumble said after meeting Prime Minister Modi?

Bengaluru, Feb 13: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday met Rocking Star Yash, Rishab Shetty, former cricketers like Anil Kumble, Javagal Srinath and Venkatesh Prasad along with RJ Shraddha.

Sharing his experience of meeting the Prime Minister, Yash said, "I felt very happy. He listened to us patiently and spoke about his vision for the film industry. He also asked us about our expectations, what are we looking at, what are we expecting from the government, what can we do as an industry for the country.

He told us that whatever you all need, you can come and get it. I was impressed with the knowledge about the minute details of the industry and the possibility of what we can do. He called it a soft power. He has a big vision for the industry, he was appreciating our work. It was a wonderful experience. As always our Prime Minister was very inspiring."

After meeting the PM, Rishab Shetty said that Prime Minister praised his blockbuster film 'Kantara'. "I consider PM Modi as a great leader & I'm so happy to meet him. He asked about Kannada Film industry, what is going on and what we require etc and he also told what he can do. He praised 'Kantara' movie," the actor-director is quoted as saying by ANI.

"He mentioned 'Kantara' several times which made me happy," he added.

Former Indian medium-pace bowler Venkatesh Prasad said that he had a wonderful meeting with PM Modi. "It was a privilege to meet PM Modi, he's an inspiration to every Indian. Had a wonderful discussion with him, and he shared his vision for a greater India. It was a dream come true for me," Prasad said.

Talking about his interaction with the PM, Anil Kumble said, "It was wonderful. It was a great honour to meet the Prime Minister. I had met him five years ago at an event in Chattisgarh. Post that this was the personal interaction that I have had. It was wonderful. So, he said, we have got cheetahs and you should come and take pictures. When I was part of the wildlife board here in Karnataka I had gone to request the then Chief Minister of Gujarat...I told him that the lions that he gave us to Mysuru zoo and one of the lions are doing well and the pair littered and we have a few lions now in the zoo. Thanks to him and it was wonderful to interact."

Former Indian fast bowler Javagal Srinath claimed that he had an excellent meeting with PM Modi. "It was an excellent meeting. We discussed quite a few topics. One of the topics was about sports. It was nice to hear from the Prime Minister that it was important to have sports as a syllabus from the school itself. So, it will be a subject and everybody should pursue sports. These kinds of words are inspiring and infrastructure in all the places and kids will definitely pick up sports and we are already seeing growth in sports in India. I think he has a great vision towards Indian sports and also has a depth of knowledge of what needs to be done to take it to the next level as well," he added.

RJ Shraddha, on her turn, said, "Instagram influencer Shraddha Jain says, "We shook hands as I entered the room & he said, "Aiyyo" - prefix to my social media handle...He told us how proud he was about the way South Indian film industry has showcased the beauty of our country."
