Yakub Memon hanged: Those who attended funeral are 'potential terrorists', tweets Tripura Governor
New Delhi, July 31: Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy on Friday stoked controversy after he dubbed all those who attended the funeral of 1993 Mumbai blasts convict, Yakub Memon, as "potential terrorists".
Memon, 53, was on Thursday hanged to death in Nagpur Cetral Jail and his body was later handed over to his family to bury him in Bada Qabristan.
Writing on Twitter, Roy said that all those who were present at Yakub's funeral, except relatives and friends, could be "potential terrorists" and that intelligence agencies should keep a tab on them.
