Akhilesh Yadav Stresses Winning 2027 Uttar Pradesh Elections is Essential for State Welfare
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav urged his party members to be alert against the BJP's alleged voter list manipulations. He emphasised the significance of winning the 2027 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections for the state's progress. Yadav accused the BJP-led UP government of widespread corruption, claiming that every government position has a price, according to a statement from the Samajwadi Party.

Addressing party leaders and workers from various states at the Samajwadi Party headquarters in Lucknow, Yadav criticised the current administration. "The chief minister is not a Yogi but a corrupt individual. The BJP government is now defined by its corruption and organised loot," he stated. He also highlighted the neglect of rural areas under BJP rule.
Allegations of Corruption
Yadav accused the BJP government of ignoring villages and farmers. He claimed that projects initiated by the Samajwadi government, like the Lohia Gram Yojana, were halted out of spite. These projects aimed to improve roads, drinking water, and other facilities in thousands of villages.
He questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to development, citing Nagepur village in Varanasi as an example. Adopted by Modi in 2016, Yadav claimed it has seen no progress since then. "The village has seen no development and it has been abandoned after the announcement," he alleged.
Call for Vigilance
Yadav urged party members to be vigilant against any malpractice related to voter lists. "Strengthen your booth, monitor the voter lists closely, and ensure transparency," he advised. He stressed that vigilance could prevent BJP's alleged malpractices in elections.
He extended New Year greetings to party workers and highlighted the importance of forming a Samajwadi Party government in 2027. This change, he argued, is essential for Uttar Pradesh's welfare and development.
Internal Struggles within BJP
Yadav claimed that internal conflicts over corruption are rife within the BJP government. "Even BJP MLAs and leaders are openly accusing the government of corruption and loot," he said. He noted that this corruption affects everyone—women, traders, farmers, youth, and common citizens alike.
The Samajwadi Party leader accused BJP of manipulating voter lists and conspiring to disrupt elections by targeting votes from backward classes, Dalits, and minorities. "People are angry with BJP," he asserted, adding that fraud and conspiracies are their tools for winning elections.
Yadav reiterated his call for vigilance among party members to counter these alleged conspiracies effectively. Winning the 2027 elections is crucial for ensuring transparency and development in Uttar Pradesh.
