Will Rahul Gandhi Get His Delhi Bungalow Back?
Rahul Gandhi, after being reinstated as a Member of Parliament on Monday, will also regain his official residence in Delhi. The Lok Sabha secretariat issued a new order that effectively withdraws the previous one which led to Gandhi's disqualification from his parliamentary position due to his conviction in the 'Modi surname' case.
The earlier notification was issued on March 24, following Gandhi's conviction in a criminal defamation case from 2019 by a Surat court in Gujarat.

With his return to Parliament just before the no-confidence motion debate against the Narendra Modi government, Rahul Gandhi will reclaim his official residence in Delhi, which was allotted to him as an MP. His previous official residence was the bungalow at 12, Tughlaq Lane in the national capital, which he vacated on April 22, one month after his conviction. As per the rules, a lawmaker disqualified due to a two-year or above sentence is allowed to retain their official residence for a maximum of one month.
