Will Go All Alone In Assembly, 2024 Lok Sabha Polls: Mayawati
Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Chief Mayawati on Wednesday said that her party would neither go with the 26-member INDIA alliance nor the 39-member NDA alliance.
Addressing a press conference, Mayawati said that she would maintain equal distance from both the formations and contest the upcoming Lok Sabha polls on her own.

"BSP will go it alone in the assembly elections of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh. In Punjab and Haryana, it can form an alliance with regional parties provided they don't have an understanding with NDA or the changed UPA," Mayawati said at a press conference.
"The Congress party is forming an alliance with like-minded casteist and capitalist parties to come into power, she added.
"These parties don't work for the welfare of the people. They have not done anything for Dalits, Muslims, and minorities. All are the same. When they come to power, they forget their promises. They have not fulfilled a single promise made to be the people. Be it Congress or be it BJP. This is the biggest reason why BSP has not joined hands with the opposition," Mayawati said.
On Tuesday, a group of 26 parties came together for a 'united opposition' meeting to chalk out strategies to take on the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
The opposition parties renamed their alliance - The 'Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance' (INDIA) at the end of their two-day meeting in Bengaluru on Tuesday.
On the other hand, leaders of 38 parties joined a meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance in New Delhi, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserting that the bloc is a time-tested alliance that seeks to further national progress and fulfil regional aspirations.
The meeting is part of the NDA's show of strength ahead of the 2024 Lok Sbha polls and devise a joint strategy against the fledgeling grand Opposition alliance, 'INDIA'.
