Will campaign, not contest polls: Sudeep on reports of joining BJP
Kiccha Sudeep has put an end to speculations around joining the BJP saying that he will campaign for the party leaders but will not contest polls.
"I will only campaign for the BJP, not contest the elections," the actor told reporters before leaving to a meeting headed by Karnataka Chief Minister Basavraj Bommai.

The meeting will be held at Hotel Ashok.
Karnataka Transport Minister B Siramulu expressed happiness over Sudeep campaigning for the BJP candidates saying that it will benefit the party. "Kichcha Sudeep is a very popular leader, along with a popular actor. He is a very big artist in the whole country. His support to BJP will be of great benefit to our party," he told ANI.
The minister also said there is "no" anti-incumbency in the State and BJP will return to power again. "People have a lot of faith in our party. Prime Minister is leading the country our Bommai Ji is the chief minister here. So, people want the BJP government should come here also. There is nothing like anti-incumbency here, only the Opposition people keep talking about it because they have no work. But, we will come back to power once again," he added.

On the other hand, the actor has reportedly received a threat letter.
An alleged threat letter was received by his manager Jack Manju, prompting the police to register a case. The known person has said in the letter that Sudeep's 'private video' will be leaked on social media.
Acting on the complaint lodged by the actor's manager, the Puttenahalli police registered a case under sections 504, 506 and 120 (B) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
There were reports that actor Darshan will also join the BJP, but he has not responded to the rumours.
