Why Prabhas And Kriti Sanon's 'Adipurush' Has Run Into Trouble?
With only a week left for its release, the multilingual movie 'Adipurush' has run into a controversy with netizens coming down heavily on the Prabhas and Kriti Sanon-starrer.
The movie has hit the headlines for the wrong reasons in the last one year. First Saif Ali Khan's comment that 'Adipurush' showcases the human side of Raavan. However, he withdrew the comment, later.

Then after the release of a teaser, netizens criticised the makers over the poor VFX quality which forced the makers to delay the films' release. Many were not happy to see Kriti Sanon, who plays goddess Sita, in ultra glamorous avatar.
There were also plagiarism allegations against the makers.
What Is The Controversy All About?
However, the fresh controversy erupted after director Om Raut was caught giving a kiss to Kriti Sanon at Lord Venkateswara temple's premises in Tirumala, Tirupati on June 7. This is a sacred place for the Hindus and this gesture did not go well with the netizens.

Many took to Twitter to condemn their behaviour.
Andhra BJP State Secretary Ramesh Naidu Nagothu slammed Kriti Sanon and Om Raut and tweeted, "Is it really necessary to bring your antics to a sacred place? @kritisanon @omraut. Engaging in public display of affection, like kissing and hugging, in front of the Lord Venkateswara Swamy Temple in #Tirumala is deemed disrespectful and unacceptable." However, he deleted the post, later.
The head priest at Telangana's Chilkur Balaji Temple criticised the incident and said, "Even a husband and wife do not go there (temple) together. You can go to a hotel room and do it. Your behaviour is like insulting Ramayan and Goddess Sita."
Also, veteran actress Dipika Chikhlia, who immortalised the role of Sita in Ramanand Sagar's popular television series 'Ramayan', has expressed her displeasure against Sanon.
"I believe this is a big problem with actors of this generation, as they neither get into the character nor understand its emotions. For them, Ramayana must have been just a film. Perhaps they haven't connected with it spiritually. Kriti is an actress of today's generation. In today's era, kissing or hugging someone is considered a sweet gesture. She must have never thought of herself as Sita Ji. It becomes a matter of emotions. I have lived the character of Sita, while today's actresses just consider it a role. After the film or project is over, they don't care anymore," she told in an interview.
'Adipurush' is a mythological film based on the Hindu epic Ramayana. Prabhas plays the role of Lord Rama, Kriti Sanon as Sita and Saif Ali Khan will be doing the role of Ravan. The film is scheduled to be released on June 16.
