"The top leadership (of Congress) - Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Kamal Nath, and Digvijaya Singh - have shown their confidence and faith. The party is in a tough position, but it is the responsibility of Jitu Patwari (Congress' new MP chief) and me to fight for the poor, farmers, and youths," said Umang Singhar, Congress Legislature Party leader in Madhya Pradesh.

The party lauded Kamal Nath's efforts in the past to strengthen the roots in the state stating " Congress appreciates contributions of the former Madhya Pradesh chief minister as the PCC President."
