When Pakistani Salman Khan said 'I want to go to jail in place of Sallu Bhai'
New Delhi, May 8: After Bollywood actor Salman Khan was convicted and sentenced to five years in the 2002 hit and run case, fans worldwide became sad. But one fan in Pakistan, who is said to be 'Pakistan's Salman Khan' offered to go to jail in place of Bollywood superstar.
As per a DNA report, "A segment on Samaa TV showed a Salman Khan lookalike, who is also a huge fan of the actor, asking to be jailed. Distraught over the actor's conviction in the hit-and-run case, the fan went to the police station in Hajipura, Pakistan and asked that he placed under arrest."

In a major reprieve for Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, the Bombay High Court today suspended the five-year sentence awarded to him in the 2002 hit-and-run case, admitted his appeal against conviction and granted him bail.
Justice Abhay Thipsay directed Khan to surrender before the trial court forthwith and execute a fresh bail bond of Rs 30,000. The interim bail granted to the actor hours after his conviction and sentencing on Wednesday was to expire today.
After getting this news, fans went berserk and celebrated by dancing and bursting crackers.
While admitting the 49-year-old actor's appeal, the HC said it will expedite the hearing on it and posted the matter for June 15.
