What did Nirmala Sitharaman gift Bhutan Prince? Know here

As you might already know, the Royal family of Bhutan King, Queen and Prince are in India for a four-day friendly visit. And the little Gyalsey (Crown Prince) is winning everyone's hearts!

On Thursday, the little prince was in for more surprize as he got traditional and attractive Chennapattana toys as gift.

Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman gifted a set of Chennapatna toys to the one-and-a-half-year-old child of Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck.

"With His Majesty the King, the Queen and the adorable young Prince of Bhutan. Happy to see HM the Prince like the Chennapatna (Karnataka) toys," tweeted Defence Minister.

Sitharaman is a member of the Rajya Sabha from Karnataka. The minister also posted on Twitter pictures of her with the young prince, clad in Bhutan's national dress Gho, and his parents, the King and Queen Pema Jetsun.

The Royal Family, who are here on the invitation of the Prime Minister to further cement the longstanding friendship ties between India and Bhutan, finally met PM Narendra Modi last night.

The Prime Minister who is known for taking special interest in the gifts given to the guests presented an official football of the FIFA U-17 World Cup and a chess set to the Prince of Bhutan.

The prince was delighted particularly with the chess set, it appeared. The Royal Family of Bhutan is on a four-day trip to India.

King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck met External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and President Ram Nath Kovind.
