Weather forecast for June 8: Chennai rains may show up in next 24 hours

Moderate to heavy rains are expected over Maharashtra, Coastal Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar Islands on June 8. Meanwhile, Heatwave will continue to grip isolated parts of West Rajasthan. Here is the weather forecast for Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Mumbai for June 8.

Weather forecast for June 8: Chennai rains may show up in next 24 hours

Bengaluru:

The garden city, Bengaluru has been receiving good rainfall activity. According to Skymet weather, Monsoon will remain normal over Kerala, North Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and the northeastern states. Meanwhile, the city will witness generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers on June 8. The maximum temperature will be recorded around 25 degree Celsius and humidity will be around 86 percent.

Delhi:

Delhi rains have till now remained hidden and the month of June has remained dry so far. As per Skymet Weather, a trough is likely to form from Punjab to West Uttar Pradesh across Delhi by tomorrow. In the wake of this, we expect, dust storm and thundershowers to commence once again over Delhi and its surrounding Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad around June 9. Meanwhile, the maximum temperature will be recorded around 39 degree Celsius and humidity will be around 44 per cent.

Hyderabad:

After remaining dry for the last four to five days, most parts of Telangana finally got to witness some pre-Monsoon spells. According to Skymet weather, Monsoon is just a step away from making its onset over Telangana. At present, conditions are favorable for the Monsoon to mark its onset into some parts of Telangana in the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, Hyderabad city will be witnessing Thunderstorms on June 8. The maximum temperature would be recorded around 31 degree Celsius and humidity around 85 per cent.

Mumbai:

Mumbai has been preparing for heavy rains, with dense clouding hovering over the city since Wednesday. Mumbai rains finally appeared around 4 am on Thursday and hasn't had a break thereafter. According to Skymet Weather, moderate to heavy rain and thundershowers would continue for next one or two hours. Meanwhile, on June 8, the city would witness Thunderstorms. The maximum temperature will be recorded around 31 degree Celsius and humidity around 78 per cent.

Chennai

Since the beginning of June the Interior districts and southern districts of Tamil Nadu were receiving light to moderate showers. However, rains remained absent from the northern and coastal areas such as Chennai and adjoining districts of Puducherry. As per Skymet Weather, Monsoon rains to continue over North Tamil Nadu during the next 24 hours. Chennai rains will also appear during the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, the minimum temperatures will settle around 37 degrees but as the day progresses, the city is likely to witness cloudy weather.
