WB: Fire breaks out in abandoned godown at Armenian Ghat, no casualty
Kolkata, Nov 7: A major fire broke out at a godown near Armenian Ghat on Strand Road in the central part of the city tonight.

Fire brigade sources said 20 fire tenders rushed to the spot to put off the blaze which broke out at around 8 pm. The fire was suspected to have been caused by barrels of diesel kept in an godown owned by Kolkata Port Trust, the sources said.
There was no report of any casualty or injury in the blaze. The sources said there was no information about anyone being trapped inside the godown. Senior police officials rushed to the spot and the entire area has been cordoned off and traffic movement on Strand Road has been diverted.
