After taking the oath, demands such as re-conducting the NEET exam and granting special state status to Bihar were raised by him. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, who was seated with the ruling party, interrupted him, as reported by Live Hindustan.

In response, Pappu Yadav, visibly angered, retorted to Rijiju, stating, "I am an MP for the sixth time; you will teach me." He further remarked that Rijiju won through grace, while he has come as an independent MP for the fourth time, having won on his own merit.

The oath was taken by Pappu Yadav in the Maithili language. During the ceremony, a T-shirt with "#RENEET" was worn by him to highlight the issue of the NEET paper leak. The video of the oath was shared by Pappu Yadav on his social media account. His oath began with "Pranam Purnia, Salaam Bihar."

After taking the oath, it was stated by Pappu Yadav that another phase of his parliamentary career had commenced. The objective of making the Purnia model a paradigm of politics focused on service, justice, and development in Bihar was articulated by him.

Later, reporters were informed by Ranjan that members were invoking gods, indulging in sycophancy, and taking their leaders' names, but the youth were not being talked about by anyone. "Who will talk about the youth? Nobody discussed NEET or special status for Bihar or the development of the state. So, I said so...I said Re-NEET. The people of Bihar have faith in me and I will not let them down," Pappu Yadav told ANI.

It was added by him, "Nobody even talked about the paper leak in the Lok Sabha session. They (central government) don't have anything to discuss about youth, inflation, students, and the poor of the country." It was posted by Yadav on his official X handle that, "Greetings Purnia, Salute Purnia! A start to parliamentary life begins with the swearing-in and the shift has begun."

Further, it was added, "The objective is the Purnia model, which includes service and justice in Bihar, and to become the ideal of development politics!" The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) for MBBS/BDS and other medical courses has been embroiled in controversy due to alleged irregularities in its conduct, as reported ANI.

A perfect score of 720 out of 720 was achieved by a total of 67 candidates. Concerns were raised by this, resulting in protests across the country. Following this, a 7-member committee led by former ISRO chairman Dr. K. Radhakrishnan was constituted by the Ministry of Education to make recommendations on reforms in the examination process mechanism, improvements in data security protocols, and the functioning of the NTA.

The high-level committee is expected to submit its report to the ministry in the next two months.
