WATCH: Bengaluru Techie Atul Subhash’s Mother Faints At Patna Airport

The tragic demise of Atul Subhash, a 34-year-old techie from Bengaluru, has sparked a wave of grief and calls for justice. Subhash was found deceased in his home in the Manjunath Layout area, under circumstances that led authorities to consider his passing a suicide. A detailed 24-page note discovered at the scene revealed Subhash's allegations of prolonged emotional distress and harassment by his wife, her family, and a judge from Uttar Pradesh. This note also mentioned various legal cases filed against him, which have now become a focal point in the ongoing investigation.

In response to Subhash's death, law enforcement initiated a case concerning the abetment of suicide against his wife, Nikita Singhania, and several members of her family including her mother Nisha, father Anurag, and uncle Sushil. The police have since extended their investigation to Uttar Pradesh, aiming to interrogate Nikita Singhania and her relatives. A senior officer involved in the case emphasized, "We are looking into all the allegations and the matter is being investigated from all angles."

The arrival of Subhash's body in Patna was a heart-wrenching scene, with his mother collapsing in despair. The family's anguish was palpable, as they demanded justice for Atul, urging for stringent action against those they deem responsible for his untimely death. They argue that justice for Atul would not only honor his memory but also serve as a deterrent against such harassment in the future.

Family Seeks Justice

Subhash's brother, Bikas, in an emotional plea to PTI Videos, expressed a fervent desire for accountability and reform within the legal system. He articulated, "I want my brother to get justice. I want this country to have a legal process through which even men can get justice. I want strict action against those sitting on a legal chair and doing corruption because if this continues, how will people expect justice." Bikas's statements underscore a broader critique of corruption and inefficiency within the judicial system, highlighting the need for a transparent and equitable process.

Furthermore, Bikas voiced concerns over the implications of such tragic incidents on societal perceptions of marriage and justice. He fears that without a fair and corruption-free judicial system, the public's trust in legal institutions may erode, potentially deterring individuals from marriage due to the fear of legal and financial exploitation.

As the investigation proceeds, the family's demand for justice remains adamant. They seek not only to find peace for Atul's soul but also to challenge and change the systemic issues that they believe contributed to his despair. Their fight for justice exemplifies a broader call for reforms that ensure fairness and accountability, ensuring that tragedies like Atul's do not occur in vain.
