Vizag may be the financial capital of AP

is moving ahead in time to develop the state and has decided to focus on Vizag as the financial capital. Andhra Pradesh panchayat raj minister Ayyanna Patrudu, who has been recently involved into the Chandrababu Naidu's cabinet called up industrialists and urged them to invest in the city as it will get uninterrupted power as has been assured by the central government.

He also demanded that the union government extend the special status for another five years in addition to the five years that were promised. In an effort to serve the four nearby districts, the minister also said that a Tribal university will be set between Vizianagaram and Visakha for their convenience. He also assured that Vizag will become a pollution-free city.

The minister was confident about the sanctioning of RS 60 Crore for the Visakha Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS), which has a 200-bed facility. Other infrastructures include the construction of NH-16, which passes through the city in 6 lanes with flyovers.

The coastline will also be used for building 12 small ports.
