A video has taken the internet by storm, showcasing a group of villagers effortlessly lifting a recently-built road using nothing but their bare hands. This incident reportedly took place in Maharashtra.

Expressing their dismay at the shoddy workmanship of the contractor, the villagers vehemently denounce the individual identified as Rana Thakur in the footage, branding the construction as bogus while gripping the carpet situated beneath the asphalt.

According to reports, this incident unfolded in the Karjat-Hast Pokhari region, located within the Ambad taluka of Maharashtra's Jalna district. The road in question was constructed as part of the Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojana (PM Rural Road Scheme), a government initiative. The contractor claimed to have employed advanced German technology for the road's construction.

However, the viral video effectively exposes the hollowness of such claims, with the villagers revealing a makeshift solution beneath the road's surface. This revelation has ignited severe criticism directed towards both the local contractor and the Maharashtra government. The residents are demanding appropriate action be taken against the engineer who approved this substandard work, according to the Free Press Journal.
