A mother and daughter narrowly avoided a rhino attack after falling from a jeep during a safari in Kaziranga National Park, India. The incident occurred when the driver swerved to evade an aggressive rhino. Fortunately, both were rescued just time. A video capturing this dramatic event is available.

Rhino Attack During Kaziranga Safari

Rhino Encounter Turns Dangerous

The sight of the rhinos excited the tourists, but it also agitated the animals. As the rhinos prepared to charge, the safari vehicles halted. In an attempt to avoid an attack, one jeep reversed swiftly, causing the mother and daughter to fall out.

Both individuals sustained minor injuries and struggled to get up as the rhinos advanced. Panic ensued with screams for help echoing through the park. The mother attempted to shield her daughter while they awaited rescue.

Swift Rescue Efforts

A nearby safari jeep quickly reversed to rescue them just as a rhino was closing in. This timely intervention saved them from potential harm. The video of their narrow escape has since gone viral.

Following this incident, Kaziranga National Park authorities have initiated an investigation. Tourists have criticised staff for not providing adequate instructions during the encounter with the rhinos.

Tourists Voice Concerns

The tourists alleged that no guidance was given when their vehicle stopped near the rhinos and that sudden movements led to the accident. They claimed that standing up for better visibility contributed to their fall.

Park staff have countered these claims by stating that signboards along safari routes clearly outline safety protocols and behaviour guidelines for tourists. Instructions are provided at the start of each safari tour.

This incident highlights the importance of adhering to safety measures while enjoying wildlife experiences. Despite this scare, Kaziranga remains a popular destination for those eager to witness India's majestic wildlife up close.
