Viral: Jalandhar's Insta Influencer Shows Middle Finger Sitting On Police Vehicle's Bonnet, SHO Suspended
Jalandhar Police has reportedly suspended a police officer for allowing an Instagram influencer to use the official vehicle.
In a viral video, the influencer, in question, was seen seated on the police vehicle's bonnet while recording herself dancing to the popular Punjabi track 'Ghaint Jatti.'

After the clip went viral, Jalandhar Police Commissioner Kuldeep Chahal IPS took action against INSP/SHO Ashok Sharma, according to reports.

The video footage captures an unidentified Instagram personality using the police vehicle's bonnet as a stage for showcasing dance moves to the catchy tune 'Ghaint Jatti.' In addition to utilizing the official vehicle for her content creation, the influencer also engaged in inappropriate and offensive gestures while on camera. The video prominently features her making an offensive hand gesture while seated in the police vehicle.

This incident follows a pattern of similar occurrences within the state of Punjab. In August, another influencer sparked controversy when she celebrated reaching one million followers by perching on a 4x4 Thar vehicle and embarking on a tour along the National Highway in Hoshiarpur. Her behavior was met with widespread condemnation, leading to subsequent police action being taken in response.
Furthermore, a separate incident emerged in July, where a young individual in Hyderabad was observed exiting the driver's seat of a police patrolling car in a viral video. Allegations surfaced that the video involved a vehicle belonging to the Chandrayangutta police station. This incident triggered outrage on social media, prompting the respective police authorities to categorize the video as fraudulent.
