The Uttar Pradesh government has launched "Viksit UP-2047," a forward-thinking plan to transform the state into a global leader in artificial intelligence, deep tech, electronics, and digital innovation by 2047. This initiative aligns with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's vision of using technology to drive inclusive growth, create jobs, and enhance industrial competitiveness.

Central to this strategy is the development of AI cities in Lucknow and Kanpur. These cities will serve as hubs for research, skill development, and large-scale technology entrepreneurship. They will focus on cutting-edge areas like generative AI, robotics, advanced analytics, and quantum computing.

Education and Industrial Growth

In education, the state plans to introduce smart classrooms in government schools. It aims to provide tablets to students universally and expand e-learning tools to address educational disparities. This approach seeks to modernise education and make it more accessible.

On the industrial side, Uttar Pradesh is set to bolster its semiconductor, electric vehicle, and renewable energy sectors. The government has proposed incentives for global investors and plans to establish dedicated manufacturing corridors and incubation centres for startups in advanced fields.

Boosting Software Exports

The initiative also aims to increase software exports from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities by developing IT parks and special economic zones. This move is expected to enhance the state's contribution to India's GDP significantly by 2047.
