Mohammed Haris Nalapad row: 7 arrested, Bengaluru police tracing another accomplice

Bengaluru police have arrested seven people and the hunt is on for another man in connection with the attack by the son of Shantingar MLA, Mohammed Haris Nalapad and his friends in an upscale hotel in Bengaluru city.
Dr. Chandragupta, DCP, Central Division, said, "A case has been registered, probe on. We have seized CCTV Footage. We have arrested seven people, including Mohammed Haris Nalapad. One of them is yet to be traced. They are under our custody for two days."
"We found that it started with a verbal spat between Haris and the man Vidyut. He was beaten up and later threatened by them at the hospital. We're checking for witnesses there too. The accused have confessed to the assault. We're recording statements of witnesses," said DCP.

Cubbon park Inspector was suspended for dereliction of duty. ACP Cubbon park is attached to the office of the Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru City. The case was handed over to CCB for further investigation.
The incident happened on Saturday night when Nalapad, with his friends, walked into a pub in UB City around 10 pm. According to reports, the victim, identified as Vidwath was having dinner in the same pub with his friend. Nalapad and his friends reportedly told Vidwath, who had a plaster on one of his legs, to "sit properly".
After a heated exchange, Nalapad and his friends allegedly attacked Vidwath and beat him up. The victim was rushed to the nearby Mallya Hospital for treatment, but the group reportedly followed him there and allegedly beat him up again. Nalapad and his friends allegedly also tried to attack the victim's brother.
