Video Shows Multiple Direct Hits on Terror Camps in Pakistan and PoK by India’s Airstrike

India carried out what it termed "precision strikes" in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, just days after holding Islamabad responsible for a deadly assault in the contested region that claimed 26 lives.

A video footage showcasing multiple successful strikes on terrorist camps situated in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJK) by Indian security forces. These camps have long been linked to various terrorist activities and have been a focal point in the ongoing struggle for regional security.

In an official statement, the government announced that nine non-military targets were hit during "Operation Sindoor." The strikes reportedly focused on terrorist infrastructure inside Pakistan, with several sites linked to last month's deadly militant attack in Indian Kashmir. Pakistan, however, denied the claims, asserting that no militant camps were targeted in the operation.

Key Targets: Mundrike and Other Camps

The video highlights several significant terrorist camps, including Mundrike, one of the most notorious training and operational hubs.

Which Are The 9 Sites India Targeted?

  1. Bahawalpur, situated approximately 100 km from the International Boundary, serves as the headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).
  2. Muridke, located 30 km from the border near Samba, is a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) camp.
  3. Gulpur, positioned 35 km from the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch-Rajouri region, houses an LeT camp.
  4. The Sawai camp, located 30 km inside Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoJK) in the Tangdhar Sector, is an LeT facility.
  5. Syedna Bilal Camp in Muzaffarabad- This was a staging area of Jaish-e-Mohammed. This was also a weapons, explosives and jungle survival training centre
  6. The Kotli camp, situated 15 km from the LoC opposite Rajouri, is an LeT base. Fidayeen of the LeT were prepared here. It had a capacity to train 15 terrorists.
  7. Barnala camp, located 10 km from the LoC opposite Rajouri, is another significant terrorist hub. This was also a weapons handling, explosives and jungle survival training centre.
  8. Sarjal camp, about 8 km from the International Border (IB) opposite Samba-Kathua, serves as a JeM training facility.
  9. Mehmoona camp, situated 15 km from the IB near Sialkot, is a Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) training camp.

These camps have been a source of concern for regional stability, with reports indicating that they are used to train and shelter militants who carry out cross-border terrorism.

Terrorist Camps in PoK & Pakistan: A Persistent Threat

The presence of these terrorist camps in PoK and Pakistan has been a long-standing issue. They are widely believed to be central to the training of militants who infiltrate neighboring regions with the aim of creating instability and promoting violence. Areas such as Mundrike, Maskar-e-Aqsa, and Balakot Oghi have been involved in several high-profile attacks, making them prime targets in counter-terrorism operations.

According to the latest intelligence, these camps are linked with major terrorist organisations that have been operating in the region for years. The Sawai Nala Syed Na Bilal camp, for instance, is thought to be a key center for operational planning. While specific details about these camps remain closely guarded, sources suggest that they have been instrumental in the recruitment and training of fighters involved in both local and international terrorism.

Aerial Strikes and Their Impact

The video footage, likely from military drones or reconnaissance aircraft, shows the precision with which these camps were hit, underscoring the growing capability of counter-terrorism forces in the region. The strikes were part of a larger operation aimed at dismantling the infrastructure of terror groups based in these areas.

Notably, the strikes against these camps occurred in a region where tensions have been historically high, with cross-border militancy being a constant challenge. These operations come after a series of intelligence reports detailing the activities of these camps, including their involvement in recent violent incidents in the region.

While the primary focus has been on PoJK, the strikes also targeted several key locations within Pakistan.

It is important to note that the regions of PoJK and Pakistan remain hotspots for terror-related activities, with various militant groups using these camps as launchpads for operations. The international community continues to stress the importance of addressing these threats in order to ensure long-term peace and stability in the region.

With tensions still running high, it is clear that such strikes will remain a key element of counter-terrorism efforts, and regional cooperation will be essential to fully dismantling these threats.
