Video: Mumbai girls' '#Rap Against Rape' goes viral over social media
Mumbai, Mar 18: Days after a Delhi University student criticised singer Honey Singh for his misogynistic lyrics with a rap, a video of two Mumbai women has gone viral on social media.
The video titled ‘Bombbaebs' #Rap Against Rape' has been posted by Uppekha Jain and Pankhuri Awasthi who talk about the issues women face in the country.
The video posted on YouTube has already received more than 25,000 views and is a trending topic on Twitter.
The girls in the video have criticised the atrocities against women prevalent in the Indian society.
Though their rap the girls have raised questions over burning issues like female foeticide, eve teasing, harassment of women at work places and domestic violence.
The ladies have also questioned the mindset of Indian women who pray female goddesses in the temple and consider daughters as a liability.
The two ladies are getting applauded for the video while there is also a section that is criticising them.
