Vandalism at Allu Arjun's Residence in Hyderabad Sparks Outrage and CM Condemnation

A group claiming to be from the Osmania University Joint Action Committee vandalised the residence of Telugu actor Allu Arjun. They were protesting over a woman's death during a stampede at a Pushpa-2 screening. The protestors damaged flower pots and other items, demanding justice for the deceased woman.

CM Condemns Vandalism at Allu Arjuns Home

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy condemned the attack and instructed the state Director General of Police and the city police commissioner to maintain strict law and order. The police reported that one protester climbed the compound wall of Allu Arjun's house and threw tomatoes. Security staff tried to stop them, but they were manhandled.

Protesters Demand Compensation

The protesters demanded Rs 1 crore in financial aid for the woman's family. They left a placard stating that while films earn crores, viewers are dying. The protestors also raised slogans against Allu Arjun and spoke to media present at the scene.

Police arrived at the location and detained six individuals involved in the vandalism. A case has been filed against them and others who participated in the incident. Authorities have stated that any unlawful behaviour will not be tolerated.

Security Measures Intensified

Allu Arjun was not at home during the incident, according to police sources. In response to the situation, security has been increased at his residence. The Chief Minister reiterated on X that any negligence in maintaining law and order will not be accepted.

Allu Arjun's father, veteran producer Allu Aravind, addressed the media about the attack. He stated, "You have seen what happened outside our house. But this is time for us to observe restraint. We should not react to all this at present. Police came and took them away. They filed a case. Police are ready to take away if anyone comes here to cause any trouble."

Disciplinary Actions Initiated

A police release from the DCP of Central Zone mentioned that a report is being sent to the DGP against suspended officer Vishnu Murthy for disciplinary action. Murthy held a press conference without permission from senior officers, violating norms.

The DGP's office will investigate Murthy's actions and take necessary measures. Reddy emphasised that officers not involved with the stampede issue should refrain from commenting on it.

Allu Aravind further stated, "No one should encourage this type of incidents. We will not react to this. This is time for us to observe restraint. Law will take its own course." The situation remains tense as authorities work to ensure peace and order.
