Memorials of the most important leaders including Mahatma Gandhi and many Prime Ministers are near Raj Ghat. However, the matter had gone to courts as well and many leaders were allegedly not allowed to built their memorials in Delhi. On the other hand some of the memorials in the area are spread in over 100 acres. However, Vajpayee's memorial will be built in 1.5 acres so the BJP workers could remember his tallest leader.
