Vadodara Airport Bomb Threat Via Email

A coordinated effort involving the police, fire brigade, bomb disposal squad, and dog squad was initiated to conduct a comprehensive search of the airport premises, including the funnel area. However, after several hours, the threat was confirmed to be a hoax.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Panna Momaya provided updates on the situation, stating, "The threat was general for all airports listed in the email. The premises were thoroughly searched, and the bomb threat was found to be a hoax."

The email, sent from the address [email protected], contained provocative and threatening language but did not specify the location of any bombs. It read: "I have tickled their ego and have frustrated them! Hahahaha! Result? Boom, boom and bangs! Big big bangs!! Hohohohohoho! No stopping, no escape! Let the games begin! Jai Mahakal, Jai Ma Adishakti!"

An FIR has been filed at Harni police station under Section 351(4) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), which pertains to criminal intimidation by anonymous communication.

Although the threat was determined to be a hoax, authorities took the situation seriously and ensured the safety of the passengers and airport staff before declaring the airport secure. Investigations are ongoing to trace the source of the email and take necessary legal action.
