Uttarakhand News: CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Launches BJP Campaign in Bihar, Targets Opposition Over Corruption

Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami kicked off his campaign for the Bihar Assembly elections, urging support for BJP candidates while highlighting development and attacking opposition parties for corruption.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami kicked off his campaign for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections on Friday, energizing BJP supporters across key constituencies. On the first day, Dhami addressed massive gatherings in Siwan, Goriakothi, and Warsaliganj, urging voters to back BJP candidates and promising a new era of development under the NDA alliance.

CM Dhami participated in nomination and blessing rallies for BJP candidates Aruna Devi (Warsaliganj, Nawada district), Deveshkant Singh (Goriakothi), and Bihar Cabinet Minister Mangal Pandey (Siwan). Thousands of supporters lined the streets to welcome the Chief Minister, reflecting his nationwide popularity and strong Hindutva appeal.

In his fiery address, Dhami praised the NDA government’s developmental efforts in Bihar and emphasized that a renewed mandate would accelerate progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He accused the opposition — particularly RJD and Congress — of promoting corruption and dynasty politics, warning that their return would revive the "jungle raj" era. "There is a competition of corruption between the Lalu family and the Gandhi family," Dhami alleged, positioning the BJP as the party of clean governance and national interest.

Highlighting the NDA’s welfare initiatives, Dhami noted that over 8.5 crore people in Bihar benefit from the free ration scheme, while more than 50 lakh families have received permanent housing. He also cited the success of the Chief Minister’s Women Employment Scheme, which has provided ₹10,000 each to over 75 lakh women, boosting financial independence across the state. "Every household in Bihar now has access to tap water, toilets, and electricity," Dhami said, adding that more than 30 crore Indians have risen out of poverty under PM Modi’s leadership.

Comparing States: Uttarakhand’s Laws and Bihar’s Legacy

Dhami drew parallels between Uttarakhand and Bihar, calling the former the "land of the gods" and the latter the "land of knowledge." He touted Uttarakhand’s implementation of strict laws like the Anti-Cheating Act, Anti-Conversion Act, and Anti-Riot Act, suggesting similar governance could benefit Bihar.

BJP’s Vision: A Developed Bihar in a Developed India

Reaffirming the BJP’s commitment to progress, Dhami said, "Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, we are working to transform Bihar into a developed state and contribute to the vision of a Developed India." He urged voters to reject parties driven by appeasement and dynastic politics, and to support the BJP’s development-focused agenda.

Warm Reception and High-Level Meetings

Upon arriving in Bihar, CM Dhami received a warm welcome from BJP leaders and workers. During his visit, he met with Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, Rajasthan Deputy CM Diya Kumari, and former Union Minister and MP Anurag Thakur — signaling strong coordination among senior BJP leadership ahead of the polls.
