Uttar Pradesh: Noida Police Arrests A Criminal After Gun Battle In Sector 39 | Watch Video

A criminal was apprehended by the police in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, following a confrontation on Wednesday. The Sector 39 Noida Police, acting on a tip-off, initiated a joint operation to check suspicious individuals and vehicles near Sector 42 on September 18. During this operation, a motorcyclist was spotted approaching from Sector 42 towards Sadarpur Chowki.

Upon noticing the police presence, the suspect attempted to flee through the forested area of Sector 42. The police pursued him as his motorcycle skidded due to the rough terrain. While escaping into the forest, he fired at the officers. In response, the police fired back in self-defence, injuring him in the leg.

Criminal's Background and Confession

The injured suspect identified himself as Amir, son of Shahabuddin, residing in Gali No. 32, Khajoor Colony, Sector 39 Noida. He is approximately 26 years old and has seven cases registered against him for theft and gangster activities in Sector 39 Noida. Amir admitted to committing several crimes with his accomplices Shaukat and Manoj in the same area.

From Amir's possession, authorities recovered a .315 bore pistol with one live and one empty cartridge of the same bore. Additionally, Rs 22,000 cash linked to various incidents and a Bajaj Discover motorcycle used during the crime were seized.
