UP Earmarks 12,500 Acres for Defence Manufacturing Nodes: CM Yogi Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the allocation of 12,500 acres for defence manufacturing in the state. This is part of India's two upcoming defence industrial corridors, with one being developed in Uttar Pradesh. The announcement was made during the inauguration of Raphe mPhibr Pvt Ltd's defence equipment and engine-testing facility in Noida's Sector 80.

During his speech, CM Adityanath highlighted that the Uttar Pradesh corridor spans six nodes, including Aligarh, Kanpur, Agra, and Chitrakoot. He expressed gratitude to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for establishing the BrahMos missile-manufacturing facility in Lucknow. He noted that the missile system showcased its strength during Operation Sindoor.

Defence Manufacturing Expansion

The Chief Minister emphasised India's evolving challenges since 1947 and stressed the importance of power. "If you have power, the world bows before you," he stated, underscoring the timeless relevance of this ancient concept. He also mentioned India's traditional wisdom on balancing weapons and knowledge for national strength.

Adityanath quoted Maharana Pratap's saying, 'Veer Bhogya Vasundhara' (the brave inherit the earth), to highlight the significance of courage and strength. He believes a nation becomes powerful through this balance and can then advocate for peace effectively.

The event was attended by both Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The inauguration marked a significant step in enhancing India's defence capabilities through local manufacturing initiatives.
