UPSC ESE 2025 Rescheduled: Find Out The New Dates And Application Details Here
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced that the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2025 has been postponed. This includes both the preliminary and main exams. Candidates can find the official notice on the UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.
According to the notice, the ESE Preliminary Examination will now be held on June 8, while the ESE Main Examination is scheduled for August 10. Initially, the preliminary exam was planned for February 2, and the main exam for June 22. The postponement comes after the government's decision to change the recruitment process for the Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS). Recruitment for the Traffic, Accounts, and Personnel Sub-cadres will now take place through the Civil Services Examination, while recruitment for Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Signal & Telecommunication, and Stores Sub-cadres will continue through the ESE.
To accommodate this change, the application window for the UPSC ESE 2025 has been reopened. Candidates can submit their applications from October 18 to November 22. Additionally, a correction window will be available from November 23 to November 29, allowing candidates to make changes to their application details if needed.
Applicants who have already registered for the exam do not need to apply again. However, they are allowed to update their One Time Registration (OTR) profile during the application window. The registration for this examination originally began on September 18, and the recruitment drive will fill 232 positions in various engineering disciplines.
