UPPSC Exam Date 2024 Shifted: What You Need To Know About The New Schedule
The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has announced a change to the schedule of the Provincial Civil Services (PCS) preliminary test 2024, as reported by Times Now. The exam, which was originally set to take place on December 7 and 8, will now be held on December 22, in a single day. The exam will be divided into two sessions: the first session will run from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, and the second session will be from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
This decision follows protests by hundreds of applicants who voiced concerns over the original exam schedule. Candidates had argued that the two-day structure, which included multiple shifts, was unfair and prone to errors. These protests, which took place outside the UPPSC office in Prayagraj, saw applicants demanding a more equitable and streamlined examination process.
The UPPSC had earlier announced the dates for the PCS preliminary test, as well as the RO and ARO preliminary exams. The RO and ARO exams were still scheduled for December 22 and 23, respectively. However, after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath intervened, the UPPSC responded by revising the exam structure to address the concerns raised by the protesting candidates.
This change is expected to provide a more consistent and fair experience for all applicants, helping to ensure a smoother and error-free examination process.

This change is expected to ensure a smoother and error-free examination process, allowing candidates to perform without the concerns raised by the previous multi-day format.
