It's the day 4 of protest by thousands of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) aspirants who are have been preparing hard from years for the Provincial Civil Services (PCS) and Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (RO/ARO) exams. UPPSC Candidates Protest

A day ago, thousand of aspirants gathered outside Gate No. 2 of the UPPSC office in Prayagraj, chanting slogans to express their demands. The protest has gained momentum as students continue to rally for support.

Protesters Call for Fair Exam Arrangements

The Uttar Pradesh Police have filed an FIR against 12 individuals following incidents of vandalism during the protests. Officials reported that on Tuesday night, some miscreants broke barriers and damaged signboards at coaching centres, leading to police action. "An FIR has been filed against 12 individuals. Some people have also been taken into police custody," stated Prayagraj Deputy Commissioner of Police Abhishek Bharti, as quoted by ANI.

Despite these challenges, students remain determined to have their voices heard. They are gathering more supporters and expect a larger turnout as they continue their peaceful demonstration. Equipped with essentials like biscuits, they are committed to persisting until their concerns are addressed.

Authorities Engage with Protesters

In response to the ongoing protests, UPPSC officials visited the site to engage with the students. They aimed to clarify existing policies and encouraged protesters to propose alternative solutions. This engagement is part of efforts to address the concerns raised by the aspirants.

Sources suggest that discussions with authorities on Tuesday night did not yield satisfactory results for the students. As a result, they remain steadfast in their demands for single-shift exams and are actively seeking broader support from fellow aspirants.

The protest highlights the determination of UPPSC candidates to seek changes in exam scheduling practices. Their call for single-shift exams reflects a desire for a fairer examination process that accommodates all candidates equally.
