UPPSC Aspirants Victory! Uttar Pradesh Govt Agrees On One-Shift RO, ARO UPPSC Exam
A good piece of news arrived for the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) aspirants on the day-4 of their protest as the Uttar Pradesh's Yogi Adityanath Government finally agreed to conduct the UPPSC Exam for RO and ARO in one shift.
Earlier, the UPPSC had announced that due to a large number of applications and aspirants, the UPPSC exam would be held in 2 shifts, which sparked a huge controversy. Thousand of UPPSC aspirants hit the streets and staged a massive protest in front of UPPSC Head Office in Prayagraj demanding a one-shift exam and no normalization.

Taking cognizance of the matter, the state government intervened and now the chief minister has ordered to roll back the decision to conduct the UPPSC exam in two shifts.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister's Office (CMO) confirmed the news that Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission will conduct the preliminary examination in one day.

A committee has been formed by the Commission for RO/ARO (Pre.) Examination. The committee will consider all aspects and submit its detailed report soon.

After the big decision, UPPSC secretary Ashok Kumar met the protesting students and requested them to end their protest now.
Reacting to the announcement, a protesting aspirant said, "PCS exam will be conducted as it was used to be conducted. The RO/ARO exam has been cancelled...But our demand is we want notice of that also and till there will be no notice on the website, we will continue to protest..."
