UP Police Recruitment Exam Paper Leak: Accused Arrested In Muzaffarnagar

The Special Task Force (STF) of the Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested an accused involved in the recent police recruitment exam paper leak from Muzaffarnagar. The gang is also involved in fraud in the online examination of constable recruitment for the Central Armed Police Forces conducted by the Staff Selection Commission, Delhi.

Lucknow, March 1: The Special Task Force (STF) of the Uttar Pradesh Police has apprehended an individual involved in the recent police recruitment exam paper leak in Muzaffarnagar. The accused, Praveen alias Mintu Baliyan, is part of a larger gang engaged in question paper leaks and fraudulent activities in various competitive examinations.

The gang operates by providing question papers for police examinations in exchange for substantial sums of money. They target candidates preparing for competitive exams and exploit their aspirations to secure employment.

Arrest and Seizure

Baliyan was apprehended from Shahpur bus stop and found in possession of nine admit cards related to the 2024 constable recruitment examination of the Central Armed Police Forces, a handwritten question paper linked to the Uttar Pradesh Police recruitment exam, a mobile phone, and three ATM cards.

Interrogation and Confession

During interrogation, Baliyan revealed his involvement in rigging various competitive examinations since 2008-09. He came into contact with a person from Ghaziabad who ran a gang involved in such activities. A relative of Baliyan, who retired from the Army in 2012, also joined the gang.

The STF is actively investigating the case and pursuing other members of the gang. They aim to dismantle the entire network involved in these illegal practices and ensure fair and transparent recruitment processes for police and other government positions.

The arrest of Praveen alias Mintu Baliyan is a significant step in combating the menace of exam paper leaks and fraudulent activities in competitive examinations. The STF's ongoing efforts to apprehend the remaining members of the gang will help restore public confidence in the recruitment process and ensure equal opportunities for all aspirants.
