UP Government Releases Schedule for Amrit Snan of Akharas on Makar Sankranti and Basant Panchami
The Uttar Pradesh government announced the schedule for the Amrit Snan of 13 Akharas during the Maha Kumbh Mela. The bathing order and timings for Makar Sankranti and Basant Panchami have been shared with the Akharas. Mahant Acharya Devendra Singh Shastri, secretary of Shri Panchayati Akhara Nirmal, confirmed receipt of this information.

On January 14, Makar Sankranti, Shri Panchayati Akhara Mahanirvani and Shri Shambhu Panchayati Atal Akhara will commence the Amrit Snan. They will leave their camp at 5.15 am, reach the ghat by 6.15 am, and have 40 minutes for bathing. Their return to the camp is scheduled for 7.55 am.
Amrit Snan Schedule for Sanyasi Akharas
The second group, comprising Shri Taponidhi Panchayati Shri Niranjani Akhara and Shri Panchayati Akhara Anand, will start from their camp at 6.05 am. They are expected to arrive at the ghat by 7.05 am and will have a 40-minute bathing window. They will return to their camp by 8.45 am.
Three Sanyasi Akharas—Shri Panchdashnam Juna Akhara, Shri Panchdashnam Aawahan Akhara, and Shri Panchagni Akhara—will follow next. Their departure from the camp is set for 7 am, reaching the ghat by 8 am. After a 40-minute bath, they will head back to their camp by 9.40 am.
Bairagi Akharas' Bathing Sequence
The Bairagi Akharas will begin with All India Shri Panch Nirmohi Ani Akhara departing at 9.40 am, reaching the ghat by 10.40 am. After a 30-minute bath, they will return to their camp by 12.10 pm.
Following them, All India Shri Panch Digambar Ani Akhara will leave at 10.20 am and reach the ghat by 11.20 am. They have a longer bathing period of 50 minutes and will return to their camp by 1.10 pm.
All India Shri Panch Nirvani Ani Akhara is scheduled next, leaving at 11.20 am and arriving at the ghat by 12.20 pm for a 30-minute bath before returning to their camp by 1.50 pm.
Udasin Akharas' Timetable
The Udasin Akharas will conclude the sequence with Udasin Shri Panchayati Naya Udasin Akhara starting at 12.15 pm and reaching the ghat by 1.15 pm for a 55-minute bath before returning to their camp by 3.10 pm.
Next in line is Shri Panchayati Akhara Naya Udasin Nirvana, departing at 1.20 pm and reaching the ghat by 2.20 pm for an hour-long bath before heading back to their camp by 4.20 pm.
The final participant is Shri Panchayati Nirmal Akhara, which will leave its camp at 2.40 pm, reach the ghat by 3.40 pm, and after a 40-minute bath, return to its camp by 5.20 pm.
