UP: Constable arrested for allegedly throwing girl off police station's roof

Badaun, Jan 18: A constable was on Saturday arrested after a girl alleged that she was thrown off the roof of a police station here by him, police said.

The victim, who was recuperating in a hospital after being seriously injured in the incident regained her consciousness yesterday after which an FIR was filed against the accused.

Constable Gaurav was arrested after the victim gave her statement alleging that she was thrown off the roof of Ujhani police station by him injuring her seriously, police said.

According to the complaint, the incident took place on January 15.

Further investigation is going on, police said, adding they are also probing as to how the girl reached to the roof of the police station.
