UP News: Sarkar and Sangathan to move forward with renewed energy to fulfil Uttar Pradesh’s collective resolve: CM Yogi

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath congratulates Pankaj Chaudhary on becoming Uttar Pradesh BJP State President, urging renewed energy in Sarkar and Sangathan. Emphasis on booth-level voter list verification, SIR groundwork, and grassroots mobilisation ahead of Assembly polls, with a view to sustaining UP's development trajectory.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday congratulated newly elected BJP Uttar Pradesh State President Pankaj Chaudhary, describing him as an experienced and dedicated party worker entrusted with the responsibility of leading the organisation in the state. He was addressing the election ceremony of the BJP Uttar Pradesh State President and National Council members at Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University, Ashiana.

The Chief Minister said that in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, Sarkar and Sangathan would work in close coordination with renewed energy to realise Uttar Pradesh’s collective resolve. Referring to Pankaj Chaudhary as the captain of the state’s new political journey, he also motivated party workers to focus on voter list verification.

CM Yogi acknowledged the contribution of former State President Bhupendra Chaudhary, stating that during his three-and-a-half-year tenure he played a crucial role in energising the organisation and ensuring effective implementation of party programmes.

Emphasising grassroots preparation, the Chief Minister urged party workers to utilise the next 12 days effectively. He said that while election results are declared in the Assembly and the Lok Sabha, elections are actually won at the booth level. Quoting Prime Minister Modi’s mantra "Mera Booth, Sabse Mazboot", he said the booth is the real battleground.

He explained that each booth covers around 175 to 250 households and called upon everyone—from national office bearers to Shakti Kendra functionaries—to jointly review voter lists and draft rolls, and identify missing, duplicate, fake, deceased, overlapping or migrated voters.

Sharing experiences from district visits, CM Yogi pointed out serious irregularities in voter lists prepared by the opposition, including illegal and implausible entries. He cited cases of mismatched ages across generations and voters registered in Uttar Pradesh despite residing in other states. He directed party workers to file objections against fake entries at every booth, stressing that adequate time remains to add genuine voters and remove ineligible names.

Highlighting the importance of the Special Investigation Report (SIR), the Chief Minister said completing nearly three-fourths of the groundwork at this stage would significantly reduce the workload before the Assembly elections. This, he said, would pave the way for a decisive victory for the BJP and its allies. He urged workers to strengthen their booths, submit pending SIR forms on a war footing and familiarise themselves with all relevant procedures.

India’s global standing transformed

CM Yogi said the vision of a new India is visible to every citizen today. Over the past 11 years, he said, global perceptions of India have changed dramatically, with the country now recognised as a global leader under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

Reflecting on Uttar Pradesh’s transformation over the past eight and a half years, he said the progress achieved is the result of Prime Minister Modi’s guidance, the speed of the double-engine government and the tireless efforts of party workers.

He said Uttar Pradesh has shed its negative image, emerged as a revenue-surplus state and is now free from riots, mafia dominance and lawlessness. The state has become one of the country’s leading destinations for tourism and investment.

Employment, investment and infrastructure growth

The Chief Minister said that over the last eight and a half years, nearly 8.75 lakh youth have been provided government jobs in a transparent and discrimination-free manner. More than 1.5 crore people have gained employment through traditional industries. Improved law and order and investor confidence have led to the implementation of investment projects worth ₹15 lakh crore, while groundwork is underway for projects exceeding ₹6 lakh crore.

Expressing gratitude to Union Minister Piyush Goyal, CM Yogi said that whenever Uttar Pradesh sought support for its development initiatives, proposals were consistently approved. He recalled the approval of a packaging institute under the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme in Lucknow, where academic sessions have already begun.

To provide a global platform for the state’s entrepreneurs, he said the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show is now organised every September at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida. Goods worth around ₹11,000 crore were booked for global markets at the event, with proceeds directly benefiting traders from the state.

Cultural revival and improved power supply

CM Yogi said a state once affected by unrest before 2017 is now celebrating festivals in peace and harmony. He noted that Ayodhya has emerged as a global spiritual destination and a symbol of pride, drawing devotees from across the world.

He added that sacred and pilgrimage sites such as Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Vindhyavasini Dham, Naimisharanya, Ram Janmabhoomi, the Buddhist circuit including Shravasti, Kushinagar, Kapilavastu, Kaushambi and Sarnath, as well as Shukteerth, Mathura, Gokul, Barsana and Govardhan, have been revitalised.

Referring to the power situation before 2017, CM Yogi said earlier governments failed to ensure adequate electricity supply. Today, uninterrupted power distribution continues across all 75 districts, 350 tehsils, 825 development blocks and 662 urban local bodies.

December 25 programmes and National Inspiration Site

The Chief Minister announced that December 25 will be observed as the birth centenary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, with programmes organised at every booth. He said the National Inspiration Site developed in Lucknow, featuring 65-foot bronze statues of Dr Syama Prasad Mukherjee, Pt Deendayal Upadhyaya and Atal Bihari Vajpayee along with a museum, will be inaugurated in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, followed by a major public rally.

CM Yogi urged party workers to complete SIR-related work, assuring that arrangements would then be made for visits to Ram Lalla in Ayodhya and the National Inspiration Site, helping the nation better understand the party’s ideology and vision of a new India.

The programme was attended by Union Minister Piyush Goyal, BJP State President Pankaj Chaudhary, Central Election Officer K. Laxman, Union Minister B.L. Verma, former State President Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, State Election Officer Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey, State General Secretary (Organisation) Dharmpal and other senior leaders.
