UP assembly elections: PM Modi takes a dig at Cong-SP alliance in Aligarh rally

Aligarh, Feb 5: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed a rally in Aligarh for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls starting on February 11.. While addressing a rally, Modi said looking at the enthusiasm of people in Uttar Pradesh, it is clear the that people want change in the state. Since 2014, we have undertaken measures to curb corruption & have taken action against the corrupt.

Modi projected demonetisation as his major step taken against black money and declared that he would continue the fight against corruption in politics.

Taking a dig at Congress, he said,''for 70 years, the way our country has been looted; in one night I forced them to deposit the money in banks''.

PM Modi takes at SP-Cong Alliance, says people look for 'Sahara' during storm. He further said that Aligarh's famous locks are now used to lock factories in Aligarh because the govt in Lucknow doesn't provide electricity. Development can be made to stand on three pillars of Vikaas where V stands for (Vidyut) Electricity, K stands (Kanoon) for Law and Order, S stands for (Sadak) Road.

In a jibe at the Samajwadi Party's internal bickering during the past few months, Modi also questioned, Can a women step out after 7 pm in UP? Shouldn't this deteriorating law and order condition should be corrected?
