Revealed: Why underworld don threatens Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan

Mumbai, Aug 27: Days after reports of

getting threats, it has been revealed why

Ravi Pujari has been sending threatening messages to the

superstar.

While some media reports claimed that Pujari wants the distribution rights of Shahrukh's upcoming film Happy New Year, many other claimed that the don wants Shahrukh to participate in an concert abroad for free.

According to sources, the don organised the concert for one of his friends and hence, he contacted Moranis, close aides of Shahrukh.

Moranis, who owns a company which takes care of Bollywood tours abroad, also the co-producer of Shahrukh's upcoming film Happy News Year.

Meanwhile, a media report quoted Pujari as saying, "I have a great respect for Shahrukh Khan and a call was made to Red Chillies landline and a receptionist was contacted."

"It was not for any extortion or threat but a request to be passed on to SRK not to work with people who are linked to Dawood or Rajan such as Morani brothers," the don added.

Such reports surfaced after firing outside the residence of Bollywood producer Morani Brothers' who are considered very close to Shahrukh.

It was reported that security around Shahrukh's bungalow in Mumbai -- Mannat has been tightened following the threat from the don. However, source close to the actor was quoted as saying, "Shah Rukh has not got any such calls. We wonder why such rumours are being spread."

Meanwhile, Mumbai Police too overruled such reports saying, "He has been given police protection for a long time now. So why is there so much of talk about it?"

A source close to the star, however, dismissed all news and claimed that the Bollywood actor did not receive any threatening messages from any underworld don.
