UK teen charged over racist comment on Indian toddler's death

Warren Butler, from Carlisle in Cumbria region of north-west England, was charged with improper use of a communications network in reference to the death of three-year-old Mikaeel Kular.
The toddler's Indian-origin mother Rosdeep Kular has been charged with his murder. Butler was investigated by Hampshire Police as one of two persons arrested for allegedly posting offensive comments on social networks. He has been bailed to attend Aldershot Magistrates' Court on February 13.
The second case is being investigated by police in Derbyshire. Meanwhile, Rosdeep remains in custody at Cornton Vale Prison in Stirlingshire. The 33-year-old had reported her son missing earlier this month, triggering a massive search operation which ended in his remains being found in a forest in Fife, near Edinburgh.
Last Monday, she was charged with murder and attempting to defeat the ends of justice. She has made no plea or declaration and will stand trial in due course.
