Two Teenagers Stabbed in Separate Incidents in Faridabad Amid Rising Crime Concerns

In Faridabad, two teenagers were stabbed in separate incidents. A 16-year-old was critically injured while pursuing phone snatchers, and a 15-year-old was attacked outside his school. Police are investigating both cases.

Two teenagers were stabbed in separate incidents in Faridabad, according to police reports on Tuesday. The first incident involved a 16-year-old boy who was stabbed while pursuing bike-riding thieves who allegedly stole his mobile phone in the Sanjay Colony area. Himanshu Verma, the injured teen from Sector 23's Sanjay Colony, was admitted to a private hospital in critical condition.

The incident occurred around 7 pm on Monday when three individuals on a motorcycle snatched Himanshu's phone near Sector 22’s VP School and fled. As he chased them, they stopped in a dark alley near the thermal power plant, surrounded him, and stabbed him before escaping. Himanshu’s father, Pawan Verma, claimed that despite filing a written complaint on Monday night, police only visited the hospital the following afternoon.

Separate Stabbing Incident at School

In another case, a 15-year-old boy was attacked with a knife outside his school in Dabua Colony on Tuesday. The victim, Utkarsh, a Class 9 student at Vishwas Convent School, suffered deep stab wounds on his chest and arm. He was taken to a private hospital for treatment. His mother, Geeta Devi, reported that her son was attacked by Shivam, a fellow student, and another youth after an argument over a broken cricket bat.

Geeta Devi stated that her son was confronted by Shivam outside the school around 1:30 pm. An argument ensued where Shivam accused Utkarsh of breaking his bat. During the confrontation, Shivam pulled out a small knife and stabbed Utkarsh before fleeing with an accomplice. A teacher named Pradeep Gupta witnessed the aftermath and rushed Utkarsh to the hospital.

Police Investigations Underway

Sub-Inspector Kailash Khatana from Sanjay Colony police chowki confirmed that an FIR has been registered regarding Himanshu's case. He mentioned that both the victim and the accused were known to each other. "The case is being investigated," he stated. Meanwhile, Dabua Station House Officer Randhir Singh reported that an FIR has also been filed against the two accused in Utkarsh's case and further investigations are ongoing.

Upon receiving information about Utkarsh's stabbing incident, a police team promptly arrived at the hospital to record his statement. The authorities are actively pursuing leads to apprehend those responsible for both attacks as investigations continue.
