Two persons get 10 years in jail for smuggling drugs
Mahrajganj(UP), Aug 21: Two persons were sentenced to 10 years in prison by a local court for smuggling drugs.
The additional sessions judge Yogendra Ram Gupta yesterday pronounced Amer and Upendra Pal guilty of being involved in drug smuggling racket.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs one lakh each. Amer and Upendra Pal were arrested about nine years back by police on the Indo-Nepal border at Thuthibari here and one kilogram of narcotic substance was recovered from their possession.
