Two Pakistani Terrorists Eliminated By Indian Army in Baramulla LoC Operation, Two AKs, Pistol, IED Recovered

In a major success for the Indian Army, two Pakistani terrorists have been killed in an encounter during Operation Tikka in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 23, 2025. The infiltration attempt was thwarted along the Line of Control (LoC) when security forces intercepted the terrorists attempting to infiltrate through the general area of Sarjeevan at Uri Nala in Baramulla, located in north Kashmir.

During the intense firefight, the terrorists were eliminated, and the security forces recovered significant war-like stores, including two AK rifles, one pistol, and an Improvised Explosive Device (IED). The operation is still ongoing as the Indian Army continues to secure the region and assess the situation.

Two Pakistani Terrorists Killed

As per an official statement from the Chinar Corps, a heavy exchange of fire took place between the Indian Army and the infiltrators, who were trying to cross the LoC into Indian territory. The army had successfully intercepted the terrorists, resulting in their elimination. "On 23 Apr 2025, approximately 2-3 UI terrorists tried to infiltrate through general area Sarjeevan at Uri Nala, Baramulla, the alert tps on LC challenged and intercepted them resulting in a firefight.," the Chinar Corps stated on the social media platform X.

The infiltration attempt occurred less than 24 hours after the devastating terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Anantnag district, where at least 26 people, mostly tourists, were killed in an assault claimed by the Resistance Front (TRF), a Pakistan-based terror outfit. The timing of the infiltration attempt has raised concerns about the broader security situation in the region.

Security forces have intensified their efforts in the region, launching searches to track down the terrorists responsible for the attack. In the aftermath of the incident, locals and political organizations have come together to condemn the attack and show solidarity with the victims' families.

The tense situation in Kashmir has prompted some tourists to cut their trips short, and a complete shutdown has been called by various groups to protest the Pahalgam attack. Candlelight marches have been held across different regions of Jammu and Kashmir, with residents expressing their grief and outrage. The security forces have assured that all necessary measures are being taken to restore peace and ensure the safety of tourists and locals alike.
