Two Class 11 students were arrested in Gurugram's Sector 48 for allegedly shooting their 17-year-old classmate with a licensed pistol, which belonged to the father of one of the accused, at Central Park Resorts; the injured student is hospitalized.

The pistol belonged to the father of one of the accused. Police confirmed that the injured student is being treated at a private hospital and both accused teens have been detained.

Fight Turns Violent After School Dispute

According to investigators, the confrontation stemmed from a previous quarrel between the boys, all students of Yaduvanshi School located near the society. On Saturday night, one of the accused reportedly called the victim to his father's rented apartment inside the complex.

The victim's mother, in her complaint at Sadar Police Station, said her son initially refused to meet but later agreed after repeated calls. "The accused arrived at our home to pick him up. When my son reached the apartment, he found another friend of the accused there. Soon after, he was shot," her statement read.

Pistol Used Belonged to Accused's Father

Police said the shooting was carried out using the father's licensed firearm. "One pistol, two magazines, five live cartridges, one empty shell, and another magazine with 65 live cartridges were found at the scene," an officer confirmed. A forensic team was also called in to examine the site.

A police team rushed to the apartment after receiving information but found that the injured teenager had already been taken to Medanta Hospital.

Police Appeal for Safe Weapon Storage

A case has been registered, and Gurugram Police said they are investigating how the teenagers gained access to the firearm. Authorities have urged all gun owners to store their licensed weapons securely.

"The incident is deeply concerning. We appeal to all firearm owners to ensure their weapons are kept locked and out of children's reach," a police spokesperson said.

The investigation continues to determine whether the shooting was intentional or a result of reckless behavior.
