Kannada actor Kashinath remembered as 'trend-setter, radical director of 80s'

Twitter is flooded with tributes as the news of the passing away of veteran Kannada actor, director Kashinath broke on Thursday. Political leaders including CM Siddaramaiah and Rajya Sabha MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar expressed their condolences to the departed soul. Also, fans and Sandalwood fraternity thanked his contribution to the Kannada film industry.

Kashinath was remembered for being a trendsetter in 80's for movies on topics till then considered as taboo. Not only films, Kashinath was thanked for shaping the career of Upendra, V Manohar and Sunil Kumar Desai.
"Kashinath, one of the most radical directors of the '80s and the '90s. He was a mentor to many superstars, including Upendra. From the hilarious Love Training to immortalizing words like 'Dagaar' in Kannada pop culture, his contribution is diverse. He will be missed."
