Twitter Down? Users Across The Globe Complain They 'Cannot Retrieve Tweets'

Twitter users on Saturday faced various issues on the social microblogging site as it crashed for several hours. Many users on Twitter said that the platform is throwing the 'cannot retrieve tweets' error repeatedly.

Besides this, users are also get "rate limit exceeded" message while refreshing the 'For You' tab.

Twitter Down? Users Across The Globe Complain of Outage

The outage tracker DownDetector revealed that more than 500 Twitter issued reports as of 9.15 pm. Notably, Twitter has faced multiple technical glitches since Elon Musk took over as CEO of the micro-blogging site and laid off more than half its staff in 2022.

Earlier in November 2022, many Twitter users users reported being unable to log in or access feeds. Some users saw a popup message that said, "Something went wrong, but don't worry - try again." The outage began around 3 am UTC and peaked around 7 am UTC. It was restored later that day.

A month later in December, Twitter users in India reported problems loading pages on the website and app. The glitch-tracking website Down Detector India reported nearly 3,000 complaints. Most of the complaints were about problems with the app, website, and accessing the home page. Twitter has not yet issued a statement about the glitch.
