Twist in the Ryan murder probe: What a cover up it was

From day one of the case, there have been various questions that have been raised about the manner in which the local police investigated it.

It was a stunning twist in the Pradyuman Thakur murder case. The 11 year old boy was found murdered with his throat slit on September 8 in the toilet of the Ryan International School in Gurgaon.

The CBI has now detained a senior student of the school who is suspected of murdering the 11 year old boy. It may be recalled that the local police had arrested a conductor and even extracted a confession out of him. It was further reported that the boy had been sexually assaulted.

As the local police jumped from one conclusion to another, the post mortem report completely ruled out the possibility of a sexual assault. The report went on to state that there was no sexual assault on the minor.

The parents of the deceased boy alleged that there was a huge cover up and even accused the school management of being hand in glove.

CBI sources say that the decision to arrest the boy was taken last night. The source further said that the CCTV was the turning point in the case. The movement of the boy was found in the washroom where the murder took place.

Sources now say that the police may have framed the conductor in order to cover up something big. A CBI source informed that they are also trying to find out if the weapon was planted on the conductor.

The conductor too alleged that a confession was forced from him. In addition to this the sexual assault theory too fell flat after the post mortem report negated the same.

The father of the arrested boy on the other hand says that the case was being framed on his son. My son has not committed the crime. In fact he informed the gardener and teachers about the incident, he further said.

The lawyer representing the parents of the deceased boy thanked the CBI. Sushil Tekriwal, the advocate said that there are indications that the school management too is involved. We believe that some senior teachers could be involved. We trust the CBI to get to the bottom of the matter and also find out if any further destruction of evidence had taken place, the advocate also said. From day one we never believed the version given by the local cops, he said while adding that the evidence was being falsely framed when the probe began.
