Twisha Sharma Death Case: CBI Reconstruction And Timeline

The Central Bureau of Investigation is reconstructing the final hours of Noida-based actor-model Twisha Sharma, who was found hanging at her marital home in Bhopal on May 12. Investigators returned to the Katara Hills residence with an 80-kg dummy, a belt and a noose to test how Twisha was allegedly taken down.

The agency is preparing a detailed timeline of events before Twisha’s death. Using an advanced “tunnel view” method, officers are mapping each known movement, conversation and digital activity, minute by minute, to understand what happened inside the house and whether the reported sequence is consistent.

CBI reconstruction in the Twisha Sharma death case

As part of the exercise, the CBI took Twisha’s husband, Samarth Singh, and retired district judge Giribala Singh back to the property. Investigators asked both to demonstrate how Twisha was brought down and how the knot around the neck was opened, to compare these actions with their earlier statements and physical evidence.

According to investigators, Samarth Singh had told interrogators that Samarth removed Twisha from the noose, while Giribala handled the knot. During the reconstruction, officers closely watched their movements. The strength of the belt used as a ligature was also tested to see how much weight it could safely bear without snapping.

Key allegations and timeline in the Twisha Sharma death case

Six CBI officers, including a female officer, inspected each section of Giribala’s home during the visit. They checked the room where Twisha was found, the height of the suspension point and possible access routes, trying to verify if the positions described by the family matched physical possibilities inside the building.

The investigation follows serious complaints from Twisha’s family. Relatives have accused her in-laws of dowry harassment and mental torture. They claim gifts and money given during the marriage were repeatedly dismissed as being “below their standard.” Family members say the alleged pressure inside the household worsened in the months after the wedding.

Messages that Twisha reportedly sent to her mother on WhatsApp are now under CBI scrutiny. In these chats, questions were allegedly raised about the paternity of the child she was carrying. Twisha was said to have been forced to terminate the pregnancy and felt trapped in the marriage, according to the family’s account to investigators.

Marriage history under review in the Twisha Sharma death case

The couple’s relationship history is also being examined. Twisha met Samarth on a dating app in December 2024. The two married in 2025 and moved into Samarth’s family home in Katara Hills. Five months after the wedding, on May 12, Twisha was discovered hanging at the same residence.

Legal proceedings around the family have intensified alongside the CBI probe. The agency arrested Giribala on Thursday, after the Madhya Pradesh High Court cancelled her anticipatory bail and set aside protection granted by a Bhopal sessions court on May 15. Both Giribala and Samarth will remain in CBI custody till June 2 while investigators analyse the reconstruction results.
