West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
West Bengal, Oct 21: The very day Burdwan blast took place in West Bengal, TMC has been linked to it. Now the NIA is probing the same to find out whether a TMC link is there or not with the Burdwan blast.

As per a TOI report, "Three NIA officials, led by DSP Vijayendra Singh, have begun the probe to find out whether there was a Trinamool Congress party office above the garage at the Khagragarh blast house."

NIA questioned landlord and his son and reportedly they also showed NIA the room, which was TMC's office.

Earlier, TMC's general secretary Mukul Roy had said that there was no party office in the Khagaragarh blast house and no party leader was involved in this case. But Mehboob Rahaman, Trinamool Youth Congress district secretary said that one room was used as an election office in 2008 and 2013 panchayat elections.

Every Party has blamed TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee of shielding the terrorists and making West bengal a safe haven for jihadis.

"There had been clear link of the TMC with terror outfits and the CM had kept quiet about everything. From the very beginning, the state government has been trying to subvert the investigation. When the investigation was handed over to NIA, they started non-cooperation with them. Who are they trying to protect? It needs to be answered," BJP state president Rahul Sinha said.

Earlier, NIA had discovered secret tunnels under mud huts which were previously Madarsas (Islamic Schools) in Burdwan which ended up in nearby ponds. As per the NIA, terrorists used this tunnel to escape and also for supply of arms and ammunition.

The Centre on October 9 decided to hand over to NIA the probe into the Burdwan bomb blast, that left two suspected terrorists dead. The cops had arrested a total of four people, including two women.

Burdwan is 160 kms south of Kolkata with a population of 4,30,000.
